PG&E will continue to honor the following state programs which provide automatic monthly savings on your energy bill. KCCP customers enrolled in these programs will continue to receive the same benefits.
The CARE program is committed to making energy more affordable and accessible for low-income households, with a monthly discount of 20 percent or more on gas and electricity, providing them with the financial relief they need to manage their energy costs effectively. To learn more about CARE and how to apply, visit PG&E’s CARE program website.
The FERA program helps eligible customers pay their energy bill. Income-qualified customers get an 18 percent monthly discount on electric rates. Note that FERA and CARE share one application. If you do not qualify for FERA, PG&E will check to see if you qualify for CARE. To learn more about FERA and how to apply, visit PG&E’s FERA program website.
The Medical Baseline Program provides essential support to residential customers who rely on electricity for medical needs, and eligibility is based on medical necessity, not income. To learn more about the Medical Baseline program and how to apply, visit PG&E’s Medical Baseline program website.
King City Community Power (KCCP) customers receive a single monthly bill from PG&E and the utility collects all charges and remits payment to KCCP.
