We strive to provide KCCP customers the best rates along with cleaner energy, but if you decide to opt out of KCCP and return to PG&E service, please complete the opt out form below. It takes up to 5 business days for your request to process and will be effective on your next billing cycle.

Commonly Asked Questions

Can I return to KCCP service after opting out?

Absolutely! Customers who opt out before or within 2 months of the KCCP service start may return at any time. Please note, if you opt out after 2 months of service start, PG&E will prohibit you from opting back in to KCCP for one year.

King City Community Power is required by California CCA law to become the default provider of electric generation for customers within King City. Your choice is important to KCCP and you have the option to go back to regular PG&E service without any charges. You can opt out by filling out the form above, returning a KCCP notice sent to you by mail, by phone, or by providing a written notice. Opt-Out Options

Your grace period for opting out has passed. Below are your two options:

Option 1: A KCCP customer can request to return to PG&E service by providing 6 months advance notice. The customer will continue to receive KCCP service for six (6) months, after which they will return to PG&E service. PG&E will apply their standard rates upon the customer’s return. 

Option 2: A KCCP customer may request to return to PG&E immediately, but will be subject to PG&E’s Transitional Bundled Commodity Cost (TBCC) rate program for 6 months instead of PG&E’s traditional rates. PG&E’s TBCC rate is transitional and varies weekly.

For both options please note that if you opt out 60 days of starting service with KCCP, you will be subject to PG&E’s terms and conditions and will not be able to return to KCCP program for one (1) year.
