1 Account Number

This is your Account Number. You will need the first 10 digits of this number to inquire about your KCCP account.

2 Current PG&E Electric Delivery Charges

This reflects the total of PG&E’s charges. This includes transmission, distribution, Power Charge Indifference Adjustment (PCIA) and Franchise Fee Surcharge.
It is important to note that this charge does not include the generation charges. You may refer to pages 2 and 3 for the breakdown of the PG&E charges.

3 KCCP Electric Generation Charges

This charge is the KCCP’s charge for generation which is also known as the energy that powers your homes and businesses. If you refer to page 3 of your bill, it will show that you are receiving a Generation Credit from PG&E for the power that KCCP is now providing you at comparable rates.

4 Total Amount Due

This is the total amount you need to pay PG&E to keep your account current. This amount includes all of your fees for PG&E’s Electric Delivery, Gas and KCCP Electric Generation.

5 Monthly Billing History

You may refer to this graph to give you an idea of your usage for the past 12 months.

6 Generation Credit

Generation Credit from PG&E for the power that KCCP is now providing to you.

7 Power Charge Indifference Adjustment

A charge by PG&E to ensure that KCCP customers pay their share of generation costs acquired to serve them prior to their departure, unless otherwise exempt. We take this charge into consideration when setting KCCP’s rates and ensure you are never charged more than you would be on PG&E’s service.

8 Franchise Fee Surcharge

This surcharge pays cities and counties for the right to use public streets to provide utility services. PG&E collects the surcharges and passes them to cities and counties. This tax (if any) is charged as a percentage of your energy charges.

9 King City UUT Tax

A tax PG&E collects for King City. The Utility Users Tax for King City is 2% of your Transmission and Distribution charges.

10We Back Up What We Sell:

This is the sum of PG&E’s charges for electric delivery, which is also shown on the Account Summary page (page 1) and Electric Charges Breakdown (Page 2).

11Rate Schedule

This is your electricity rate. You can find our rates on our Billing Rates page.

12Net Charges

These are your net charges based on your total usage. It is calculated by the number of kilowatt hours x the rate per kWh depending on which rate you’re on. In this case, E1 rate is $ 0.07244/kWh multiplied by 566 kWh.

13Energy Commission Tax

A tax PG&E collects to fund the California Energy Commission based on the electric use during a billing period.

14King City UUT

A tax KCCP collects for King City. The Utility Users Tax for King City is 2% of your energy charges for electric generation.

15 Total KCCP Electric Generation Charges

This is the sum of the charges of all electric generation services provided by KCCP. This amount should match the KCCP Electric Generation Charges found on the Account Summary Page (page 1).

16Total Gas Charges

This is the sum of all gas charges services from PG&E or any other third party supplier. This is not charged by KCCP.
